I developed these interior design mood boards for a restaurant in New York. The name of the restaurant is to be Grover’s Table due to the historic association of the building and President Grover Cleveland. My inspiration came from wanting to create something traditional, with Victorian touches, and a modern twist with their farm-to-table menu. The restaurant, as it stands now, seemed one dimensional and in a sea of browns with no clear point of view.
I took my color inspiration from the original stone walls in the space, deepened the walls in the bar dining area with a rich gray wainscoting, white tables and bar area to bounce attractive lighting, and feature the bar area (it’s a high revenue earner for most restaurants).
