The long black dress is a red carpet staple that is often seen in designer’s collection like these found for Spring 2016. Sheer looks seemed to dominate revealing more than what might be expected in full body clothing.

The “little black dress” is not so much a trend but a staple that is seen in many forms for Spring 2016. What seems to be a trend is to turn this once simple item into a more revealing look using lace and sheer fabrics.

Spring 2016 RTW

Lace takes on all types of looks for Spring 2016 RTW.  Black lace is a standard for many designers creating revealing yet covered up looks.  Bright colors pop with lace used by Christopher Kane, Gucci, and Moschino.  White lacey looks are favored by Threeasfour, Rodarte, Saint Laurent, and Marco de Vincenzo.

Trend: Boho

Spring 2016 RTW

That bohemian spirit continues with these “Ladies of The Canyon” looks for Spring 2016.  Soft floral long dresses, mixed patterns, and ruffles all add to this look which seems to continue as a way of life and not just fashion.

Trend: Fringe

Spring 2016 RTW

The fringe continues to fly with these styles for Spring 2016 RTW. Anna Sui, Antonio Marras, and Givenchy apply shimmering fringe details to their designs.  Alberta Ferretti, Gareth Pugh, Philipp Plein, and Alexander Wang let it hang long.  Valentino beads the fringe for a layered effect.

Trend: Cut-Outs

Spring 2016 RTW

Cuts-outs create a sexy detail to these styles for Spring 2016.  Hervé Leger keeps the cuts together with sheer inserts, while Christopher Kane, Ashish, and Akris expose the skin.  D Squared layers their cutouts for a sporty look and Pucci creates an artistic effect with layered pieces assembled.
